Ask the Photographer: Your FAQs Answered
Curious about working together or wondering what to expect from your session? Here are answers to some of the questions I hear most often—from booking to creative details.
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple! Head to the “Book Now” button on the website or send me an inquiry through the contact form. I’ll get in touch within 24 hours to confirm availability, discuss your vision, and guide you through the next steps.
What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Washington, DC and serve the metropolitan area—including Maryland, Virginia, and select destinations. If you have a special location in mind, let’s talk!
What’s your photography style?
My work is rooted in storytelling—timeless, emotional, and pristine. I capture authentic moments with gentle direction and a fine art approach, aiming for images that feel both modern and deeply personal.
Can I get prints or albums?
Absolutely! Every session includes digital images delivered in a private gallery, and you can choose to order prints, wall art, or heirloom albums directly through the gallery. I’m always happy to recommend options to showcase your favorites.
Do you offer guidance on what to wear or how to prepare?
Yes—every client receives prep tips covering outfits, locations, and how to feel relaxed in front of the camera. I’m here to answer any questions and ensure you’re confident and ready.
What’s included in a typical session?
Sessions include our pre-shoot consultation, plenty of time for creativity and variety, expert editing, and a curated online gallery for easy viewing and downloading.
How soon can I expect my photos?
You’ll receive a sneak peek within a week of your session, and your full edited gallery within four weeks.
Can you accommodate special requests or ideas?
Definitely. Whether you want to include meaningful props, pets, or explore creative locations, I love collaborating to make your session unique.
What if I feel camera-shy?
Most clients feel a bit nervous at first! I work to create a comfortable, encouraging environment and will gently direct you so you look (and feel) natural, relaxed, and empowered.
How far in advance should I book?
For popular dates (especially weekends and wedding season), book at least two months in advance. If you’re hoping for a last-minute spot, feel free to reach out—if I can fit you in, I absolutely will!
Whether it’s your first photo session or you’re looking for something extra special, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. If you have more questions, send me a message—there are no silly questions when it comes to capturing your story.
